Volvo Group IT Vendor Management Office is now looking for a Segment Leader for the Research and Development (R&D) and Purchasing solutions and Contract Manager for PTC and Dassault Systems. Role Description You will lead business relations with strategic IT suppliers and be responsible for all commercial agreements and negotiations toward those suppliers You will also have a responsibility to develop and drive the implementation of a domain strategy to support business development in “Make or Buy “and sourcing decision-making to select the best technology / solutions. You will establish and have validated strategies for the R&D and Purchasing Solutions segment and for the strategic suppliers, based on the Group IT Strategic priorities You will establish close relationships with your stakeholders, within Volvo Group Businesses and Group IT, in order to build knowledge and clear understanding of their expectations, needs and IT roadmap. You will challenge and support them in the best way for Volvo Group You will define, implement and maintain a formal governance model for the management of your strategic suppliers to constantly improving all aspects of supplier performance, relationship and secure a future oriented agenda You will secure that we negotiate agreements that fit the Volvo application roadmap, actual and planned usage, and thereby optimize our external spend You will ensure the early involvement of Purchasing and support key global projects to develop new IT business solutions. You will collaborate with Project IT buyers along the sourcing process securing the right selection for long-term quality and Total Cost of Ownership You will coordinate and guide a team of IT buyers and Project IT buyers responsible for different activities within the domain/portfolio under your responsibility You will maintain a strong knowledge of the IT market and its best practices, especially focusing on the IT business application world: solutions, licensing models, Software as a Service , managed services About us Group IT Vendor Management Office is part of CIO Office and responsible for all strategic IT Suppliers towards Volvo Group as well as the overall supplier sourcing strategy of IT software and hardware. We are a corporate function within Group IT sharing common processes and tools with IPS (Indirect Product and Services).
