Elastisys provides cloud-native solutions and services that empowers organizations to run their applications and services in a scalable, resilient way in cloud environments. Using a heavy dose of world renowned cloud research, we work with some of the most exciting companies in the world both on R&D related projects and to help them on their cloud-native journey using open-source, cloud, DevOps and data science expertise. Now we are looking for a cloud operations engineer to either join our existing team in Umeå or being part of starting a new office in Stockholm. You will alternate between customer projects on-site, remote in-house projects or in internal product development. It’s good if you enjoy a healthy mix of back-end development, Linux and open-source wizardry and a love for all things DevOps and automation. You will like it here if you: -Have a interest in designing and developing next generation cloud infrastructure for highly scalable and available cloud applications -Like keeping up with state of the art technology and the ever growing ecosystem around open-source, cloud-native, DevOps and machine learning tooling -Are hands-on and thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment where you will be a key member of the team Requirements: -Experience with microservices and containerization using Docker etc -Experience with automated deployment and configuration tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible and Terraform -Experience using public clouds like AWS, Azure or GCP -Experience with Python, Java or Go -Experience with Git and Linux -Fluent English in speech and writing Experience with the following is a bonus: -Experience working with cloud-native open-source projects like Kubernetes, Prometheus, Envoy etc -Experience operating container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or PaaS like OpenShift -Working understanding of big data and analytics tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Elastic Stack or similar -Contributions to open source projects -Experience of machine learning and statistics as well as TensorFlow, scikit-learn or similar frameworks Elastisys products and services build on decades of internationally leading research in distributed systems, cloud computing, and autonomous management of virtualized resources.
