VSM Group AB in Huskvarna is a company within SVP Worldwide. We are responsible for SVP’s global product development giving consumers worldwide the opportunity to enjoy creative sewing. The products are sold under our globally leading brands SINGER®, HUSQVARNA VIKING® and PFAFF®. At our development unit in Huskvarna, we are among the foremost in the world when it comes to technology development of sewing machines for the consumer market. These modern sewing and embroidery machines contain advanced fine mechanics that are controlled by a steady-state software via stepper motors and electronics. The Group's product development is led by Huskvarna and you will strengthen our project office as project manager. Our project portfolio has grown ever since and we are now running development projects for the Group's three brands, Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff and Singer, in addition to all after-sales products offered in parallel. The role of project manager is multifaceted. As a project manager, you have the responsibility to drive and collate projects from creative idea to analysis, design, testing and implementation, ie from project launch to market launch and ongoing production. The Group's production unit is located in China and it is also in Asia that our OEM suppliers are located. The organizational affiliation of project managers is within the development department, while cohesive responsibility for development projects extends across all departments within the group and with many international project participants. As a project manager, it is your most important responsibility to ensure that the work is run and coordinated throughout the product development chain. Requirements on projects cover all aspects such as launch time, quality and cost and it becomes your responsibility to meet these requirements with your project team. Main tasks o Drive and coordinate all ongoing work within the project. o Establish and follow up schedule for the project as a whole. Based on timetable and ongoing resource estimates, work with managers to add resources as needed. o In addition to launch times, ensure that the work is conducted and monitored in terms of quality, performance, project and product costs. o Responsible for following the company's project model. Ensure ongoing project reporting to management team. o Contribute to further developing methods and working methods throughout the product development process.
