About this role
Within ongoing projects, or other product tasks, the PEM is responsible for analysing the customer product specification from a technical perspective and understanding the technical scope. Together with representatives from engineering line functions, the PEM continually structures and analyses the project engineering work, risks and validation strategy, performing FMEA and design reviews. Within the projects the PEM is the main decision maker and driver of technical sign off decisions, ensuring alignment to customer and internal specifications. The PEM is part of the GKN global account team for a specific customer and is as such part-responsible for shaping the longterm relations, specifically the technical strategy towards the customer. The PEM reports to the Project Manager at Köping, the Global Customer Account team and to the Engineering Site Management team at Köping. PEM is assigned to a specific OEM customer and responsible for the corresponding products. The PEM is also the main point of contact concerning technical product discussions for both external and internal customers.
