Education & Experience Necessary for Success: Master’s degree or equivalent education Experience (3-5 years) within testing Experience from automated testing Flexible, innovative and driven A will to develop and introduce new testing methods Structured and thorough with analytical and troubleshooting skills Highly motivated team player Agile way of working Driven and willing to take own initiatives English, written and spoken Experience of networking protocol, preferably L2 protocols, MEF-services, SDN and networking knowledge in general is a great merit Experience from working with network operations and/or installation is an advantage We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance engineer to be part of our Embedded Software team. We work in cross-functional, agile teams developing embedded software products in a Linux environment in close collaboration with the rest of the R&D organization. Our work includes everything from product concept to finished product - a process that spans over the entire development chain. The team takes full responsibility that a new feature is delivered on time with the right quality using state of the art continuous integration pipelines. We strive for fully automated test suites both on unit and system level. As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Infinera's products before the new features and additions are released to end users. This means that you will work with most of the company's portfolio which leads to a quick and good overall system understanding. Your Key Responsibilities Would Include: Identify test scenarios, formulate product test plan Write scripts for automated testing using TCL or Python Further develop our automated test environment Perform tests on system level including network management systems Prepare test setups in a lab environment Debug along with hardware and software engineers Review requirements, industry standards and manuals Verify compliance to standards (ITU, MEF, IETF, IEEE, TNF, etc) Work with SDN and protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet and OTN Evaluate and develop test methods and tools to increase test efficiency and coverage We offer: Tight cooperation with other disciplines and an agile organization Short product development cycles, you will see how your work affects our products and sales International possibilities of development and internal advancement Social and wellness activities and clubs A friendly and helpful atmosphere Highly competent and motivated colleagues A workplace in beautiful Marievik by the water in Årstaviken with a great supply of lunch restaurants and good Communications
