Job SummaryTHIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, Position Description Number T5636P01 and is part of the 107TH ATKW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. This is a Temporary Position not to exceed 1 Year.
QualificationsGENERAL EXPERIENCE: Skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; - Skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material; - Skill in presenting formal training presentations and briefings; - Ability to prepare reports and presentation formats. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Must have experience and knowledge of related financial regulations and rulings covering diverse types of pay transactions to typically function as a technical authority for the resolution of an extensive range of issues or problems. Experience and knowledge of the overall DFAS mission and functions, operation, and relationships to other agencies to respond to special inquiries and task organizations for information and responses. Must have experience of multiple financial and accounting systems in order to perform studies related to management improvement, productivity improvement and management controls to analyze and evaluate criteria for the enhancement of all assigned Pay programs (Military Pay, Civilian Pay, Accounts Payable, and Travel Pay). Major DutiesAs a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0501-11, you will plan, coordinate, and perform comprehensive Accounting and Financial Management analysis, decision support and quality reviews, of base level accounting and financial management programs.
