Job SummaryThis is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This is a Temporary Reimbursable GS-0346-11 LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2197000 and is part of the MO Directorate of Logistics. SEE NOTES UNDER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT BELOW
QualificationsMILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Army National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - CPT (O-3) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, training, and/or education that demonstrates judgment and/or analytical ability, and experience using computer and automated systems. GS-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months of specialized experience that demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge and ability to implement logistics policy programs and procedures, utilizing automated/non-automated systems for the accurate control of logistical planning in support of unit tasked contingency operations; experience in planning, organizing and implementing unit logistics plans and operations; and apply technical expertise with computerized logistics information systems to support deployment operations and exercises.
Major DutiesMaintains oversight of daily, weekly, monthly, and long term system requirements, ARNG Readiness Center equipment modifications, and requirements to meet current workload demands.Budgets for subsistence operations and subsistence requirements, including operational ration ceilings.Develops for the DCSLOG-G4 recommendations, policies, procedures, long range plans, and special projects.Recommends solutions to controversial problems and actions of a precedent-setting nature, to include coordination with major commands and the Army Center of Excellence, Subsistence.Participates in field exercise planning sessions, discussing availability of subsistence, budgets, issue of operational rations and ARNG support to exercises.Serves as Chairperson and as a voting member of The Adjutant Generals Food Service Management Board.Monitors the AFMIS to ensure reporting requirements from local, DA, NGB, and vendors are timely and contain accurate and formatted data.Works daily with functional users and technical personnel to identify and resolve operational and technical problems, and to ensure flow of data and procedures are the most efficient possible.Assists and coordinates with functional specialists in the identification of operational requirements and the conversion of these requirements into automated systems documentation.Performs extensive consultation services and provides guidance to functional specialists on the maintenance, evaluation, documentation and standardization of requirements and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.
