Subject area description Care Science is focusing on the person’s experiences in relation to illness and suffering, partly in connection with recovery, maintenance and promotion of health and partly in connection with the biological body and sociocultural structures. A person’s learning and the organisation of care is at the heart of care research. Job assignments The tasks include course coordination, lecturing in ethics (especially research ethics), qualitative and quantitative methodology on a first and second cycle level in both freestanding courses and the courses that are running at the Institute, supervision and summative assessments in courses at a first cycle level within all the Institute’s programmes. The mission as a course coordinator implies developing and coordinating learning objectives, learning activities and forms of summative assessments and assessment criteria in relation to content, purpose and current pedgagogical research as well as ensuring quality assurance of the education using validated evaluation methods. The position also requires the employee to work actively towards achieving the Institute’s goals and business plan and to participate in common meetings and activities at the institution. The applicant is expected to be able to teach in Swedish. Eligibility Completed university education at the least advanced level in Nursing or in Health Care Pedagogics and shown pedagogical skills. Assessment Primarily teaching expertise andd experience from teaching in care scientific subjects i.e.. qualitative and quantitative methodology, ethics and supervision of degree projects on a first cycle level. Knowledge of person-centred care and shown collaboration skills and flexibility with groups of teachers and students as well as administrative skills are meritorious. The applicant should have completed training in teaching and learning in higher education as well as current clinical competence and/or a connection to the health care sector. The applicant is expected to be able to teach in Swedish. Employment Temporary post for up to 12 months, full time, located at The Institute of Health and Care Sciences.
