Job SummaryThis position is in the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience (DR&R), Disaster Policy, Planning, Partnership and Public Affairs Division (DPPPPD). The mission of DPPPPD is to declare disasters, prepare communities, mitigate damages, speed recovery relating to disaster risk reduction, social services, partner collaboration, community outreach, and working with both public and private sector organizations on a variety of analytical and evaluative matters.
QualificationsGS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Interpreting laws, regulations, or policies and providing guidance on how these impact disaster programs; and Analyzing individuals' and businesses' finances with uncertain economic abilities; and Preparing analytical reports, briefings, or planning documents for senior leadership; and Conducting research and analyzing trends to propose alternative strategies or solutions to improve program effectiveness; and Evaluating disaster program effectiveness and recommending improvements to increase mission performance These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. Major DutiesAs a Program Analyst with the Disaster Policy, Planning, Partnership and Public Affairs Division, at the GS-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Supports division leadership by providing analytical documentation. Conducts industry research relevant to SBA disaster programs. Identifies key findings that support accomplishment of division objectives. Participates in establishing national policies, goals, and operating procedures. Identifies administrative and operational issues impacting disaster programs. Ensures recommendations follow legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements.
