SENIOR QA ENGINEER Location: Malmö or Helsingborg, Sweden About the Role: Are you passionate about creating high-quality software products? Do you have experience in agile, test-driven development? Key Responsibilities: • You will be responsible for planning and executing Quality Assurance (QA) related activities, to help us bring a robust, high-quality product to market • You will test enterprise software that is deployed either in the Cloud, or on-premise enterprise data centers, and consists of back-end services, APIs, off-the-shelf and in-house components, web applications, desktop and mobile clients • You will work closely with software developers, architects and product managers to ensure that the software testing processes validates the software requirements and keeps defect escape rate to a minimum • You will analyze new feature requirements, for which you will create detailed test cases • You work hand-in-hand with developers to create and execute certain test cases as they write code, including manual and automated test cases • You will track raised defect tickets to resolution and validate the correct understanding and resolution • You will establish and maintain test environments • You will collaborate closely with other team members, including some being located at other parts of the world Required Skills: • 5+ years of experience in the software development industry • 4+ years of experience in formal software quality assurance • Hands-on experience in the Agile/Scrum development process • Experience with creating detailed test cases • Experience with all levels of testing, including smoke testing, end-to-end system testing, performance testing, regression testing • Experience in creating test reports, and writing clear bug reports • Experience with test tools and frameworks • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Self-motivated, quick learner • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Attention to detail • Readiness to work in a global team with contributors from different backgrounds, skills and locations Preferred Optional Skills: • Experience with creating test plans • Experience in testing mobile apps (iOS, Android) • Experience in testing web-based user experiences • Experience in testing cloud software modules • Experience in testing software services and APIs • Experience with test automation frameworks and processes • Hands-on experience with test-driven development and continuous integration • Real-life experience with QA for mainstream apps or systems used by a broad user base • Bachelor’s degree in Software/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or comparable relevant experience
