Profile & Qualifications To qualify for this role, you should have: Several years experience from global sourcing and negotiation, preferably from the textile industry and/or consumer hard goods (i.e. merchandise, toys, models, electronic equipment etc.) A strong interest in the product and a drive for sourcing and developing new innovative brand building products. About the position As manager of purchase and design you will lead a dedicated and experienced team and you also join in the operational routines. As a leader you will navigate in an environment with demanding customers and clients, efficiency restrictions and project deadlines. Key Responsibilities Sourcing according to our current strategies and develop future sourcing strategies concerning supplier development, price, quality, CSR and sustainability Lead, inspire and develop the purchase and design team Plan for the impact of projects in terms of purchasing workload Negotiation and follow up on contracts with suppliers Develop Volvo Group Merchandise Services as a member of the management team Cooperate with stake holders within the Volvo Group Operational issues The successful candidate will join a team of highly dedicated, hands-on professionals who share the vision to deliver merchandise which support brand strategies and do that effectively and with very high quality.
