In IRF’s Solar System Physics and Space Technology (SSPT) group. SSPT develops and builds instrumentation for spacecraft for solar system research. The group consists of scientists and engineers. Tasks: The work focusses on analysis of data obtained from spacecraft to understand the interaction of the solar wind with the lunar surface. Focus is on combined studies using particle data from the Chang’E-4 and Chandrayaan-1 missions. Qualifications: PhD in space physics with focus on solar wind interaction with the lunar surface or exosphere is a requirement. Experience and knowledge in analysis of data from spacecraft and experience with data obtained from the Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft is an advantage. The work imposes high demands regarding independent and precise working style as well showing initiative. Ability to work well in a team and with external partners is a requirement. Emphasis will be given to individual aptitude of the candidate. The position is placed at IRF’s main office in Kiruna, Sweden. The position is time limited to six (6) months full time work.
