Job SummaryThis National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, Position Description Number D1259000 and is part of the NJ FMS 7, National Guard.

QualificationsGENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education or training working with people from various levels and backgrounds. Experience with a general knowledge of the functions and procedures of production control, records, references, and techniques for developing production control data. Experience assisting or maintaining workflow.

Major DutiesAs a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, GS-1152-7, you will: Establish plans, schedules, and controls the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment Conduct initial and long range planning pertaining to routine production processes, mechanical skills Ensures necessary maintenance records are maintained and required reports are submitted to units Authorizes the acceptance of equipment for repair; monitor work priorities, status, and completion of work orders and requisitions Works with other sections within the organization to ensure equipment readiness reports are accurate and submitted in a timely mannerRequirementsMILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Areas of Consideration: Areas III: All current members of the New Jersey National Guard Additional Employment Requirements: -Participation in direct deposit is mandatory -May be required to successfully complete a probationary period -Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation -Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service You may be required to successfully complete a 1- or 2- year probation/trial period to assess performance, conduct, agency needs, public interest, and efficiency. Employment ends unless certified in writing that it advances the agencies interest. Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Military Grade: E4 - E7 Min: SPC and Max: SFC Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Compatible Military Assignments Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a *military unit* compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position. *Military Unit* -- The unit by which the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee; or a unit that the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee to support.
