About this role
You have an university degree in Engineering, and has leadership experience from a management role in production. To cope with the role also requires that you are an excellent communicator, both in English, and Swedish and have interests in technology. Merit is if you have experience in Lean Manufacturing. As a person you are a consistent leader, have straight and clear communication ability and a person who want to achieve results, but above all, you like working with people. In this position you will lead and develop a team of 14 coworkers with responsibility for production development, industrialization of new products, investments in automation and other equipment’s, and development of processes and methods. Your main task will be to lead, coach and motivate your team to continuously improve your department and performance. You have the day to day responsibility of OHS, budget, personnel and the overarching responsibility for capex and production development. Two of the most important areas of development in the role is to work for a factory with higher level of automation, and implementation of Lean Manufacturing. We are constantly developing our processes, and as Production Development Manager, it is important that you have the ability and the interest to drive the business forward to the next level. This is done in close cooperation with your team, but also with other departments such as quality, R&D and strategic sourcing. You are part of the management team of production and report to Operations Manager. ABB unit Control Products in Sweden, manufacture contactors, soft starters pilot devices, arc guards and machine safety products. We belong to the global Protection and Connection business unit. In Sweden we are located in Västerås, Kungsbacka, Malmö and Stockholm and there are appx 380 people working for Control Products in Sweden. We are looking for a new Production Development Manager to Control Products in Västerås. You will be part of the EP Division.
