About this role
You will be part of Control Products in Västerås. Control Products is a business unit within ABB's Electrification Products division that has global responsibility for the development and manufacture of large contactors, pilot devices, soft starters, arc fault protection and machine safety products and solutions. The unit serves customers in all industries, such as OEM, industry, distribution, wholesalers and consultants worldwide. Our team is located in Västerås and consists of a total of 15 people, eight of whom work with Software Development. Tasks Do you want to be part of future development projects? As our new problem solver and colleague, you will be part of a cross-functional project team with responsibility for design and implementation for resource-efficient embedded systems. To identify customer requirements and ensure that the right products are developed, we work closely with customers as well as our sales companies around the world. As we use agile working methods, you will be part of our Scrum team that works with design, implementation, testing, documentation and delivery to production. Requirements You are an experienced software developer and have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Development. Previous work has made you familiar with the development process of embedded systems. We want you to have an experience in scrum, preferably even as a scrum master and experience of different implementations and systems to be supportive in architectural issues. As a person, you should be driven, a team player and with good communication skills to keep the team together. It is also important, that you like processes and documentation. Have knowledge of electrical machines, is an advantage. Finally, to succeed in the role, you need to have a good knowledge of C/C++.
