You will be a part of ABB Measurement and Analytics in Västerås, which is a business unit within the Industrial Automation division. We develop and provide a comprehensive range of measurement and analytics products designed to improve control, productivity and quality in a wide variety of processes and industries. Our unusual basic measuring technologies are well suited for harsh environments which has provided us with a long track record of satisfied customers. Tasks: In this role, you will contribute to the development of the quality department in the organization and apply methods and "best practice" mainly related to quality assurance of supplier products as well as own developed products. In the role as a quality engineer you will support our production with practical hands-on problem solving and investigations. You will drive supplier complaints and secure that proper root-cause analysis is done and that corrective actions are define and implemented. You will undertake supplier development activities which requires between 10-20 days yearly. Other important parts of your work will be to • Contribute to the development of the management system especially with the quality assurance processes. • Coordinate customer complaints • Perform internal audits Requirements: To thrive, you need a strong drive and questioning attitude and be able to handle issues in a pragmatic way. You have a strategic thinking related to continuous improvements and appreciate to work practical hands on to solve issues. Your mindset is always keeping the customer happy and that everything can get better. You are good at building relationships within the department as well as outside the department which facilitate great cooperation. As a foundation, you hold a bachelor´s degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering, and have a solid experience from manufacturing industry, root-cause analysis and management systems.
