About this role
We are currently seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our Auckland Chemistry Department in a permanent full-time role, working Sunday to Thursday.
Key accountabilities include:-
Perform sample preparation techniques such as aliquoting, spiking, and tracing samplesPrepare reagents, concentrations, and other necessary solutions for laboratory analysisOperate and maintain various laboratory equipment and instrumentsMaintain a clean and organized laboratory environmentAssist in inventory management and restocking of laboratory suppliesCollaborate with other laboratory staff to support ongoing projects and experimentsAdhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience are preferred.Experience:
Previous lab experience of atleast 2 years required.Experience with gravimetric methods such as Fats, protein, moisture and ICP OES.Experience in appropriate technical disciplines and quality management systems is preferred.Experience with calibration preferred. Attributes:
