The National Sales Director, reporting to the President, Transplant Genomics, has responsibility for the development and execution of sales strategies that support achievement of the company’s revenue targets and effective adoption of new services. This position will encompass sales training, implementing business strategies, providing competitive feedback, and managing customer relationships and satisfaction relative to business activities. This individual will oversee a team ofTransplant Managers covering the US and directly support international business development efforts. The position is also responsible for developing pricing and contracting strategies that maintain the overall profitability of the franchise.
Essential Job Duties:
Leading, training, managing, and directing team to expand the test utilization of TGI’s organ rejection portfolio through new account adoption and organic growth within existing accounts.Oversee the Sales Pipeline and implement effective Sales Management Processes, including the strict use of CRM.Ensure consistent, timely, and successful execution of TGI’s sale reporting metrics, strategies and growth objectives.Along with the President and Finance lead, manage all top line forecasts and determine compensation packages for the Sales team.Monitor customer, market and competitor activity. Evaluate trends and competitive strategies and provide feedback to leadership team.Efficiently and effectively manage their teams sales activities which move potential clients through the Sales Continuum of lead development, cold-calling if need be, initial use and onboarding, repeat usage, to client status.Develop relationships within key opinion leaders within accounts and help build a network of advocatesFoster harmonious sales with Eurofins Transplant sister companies to deliver the best possible service to customers and drive revenue growthEffectively deliver formal sales presentations to new and existing customers, patients and other potential advocatesStrictly manage a Team’s expenses and ensure they are at or below budgetLead the recruiting, hiring, training, and developing of direct reports.Demonstrate ability to compare and contrast diagnostic technologies used in the transplant marketplaceDemonstrate ability to effectively discuss organ rejection and biomarker monitoringUnderstand the basic requirements associated with Electronics Medical Record interfaces and work with Transplant Diagnostics interfaces processional to implement conductivity solutions in new/existing customersDemonstrate strong leadership skills through supervision, coaching and mentoring of othersDemonstrate ability to manage conflicts and issues regarding matters of significanceUtilize strong network of contacts both inside and outside the CompanyRepresent department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established Company standards and associate attributes at all timesTravel up to 70%Other duties as assigned by management Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred10 years of experience in Molecular Diagnostics (Transplant experience highly preferred), with at least 4 years in a Senior Management position recommendedSuccess operating in direct-bill, buy & bill, or capital sales/ value analysis pricing and billing modelsPrior experience managing a sales team preferably in a matrix organizationIn-depth knowledge of laboratory services or diagnostics business desired, transplantation or hepatology preferredComprehensive knowledge of current U.S. healthcare trends that can be integrated into national and local sales strategiesDemonstrated track record of leading sales growth.Proficient in strategic planning, budgeting, commissions and incentive reporting, sales research and analysisProven analytical skills; strong financial acumen and firm understanding of P/L financialsDemonstrated experience working in a diverse team environmentDemonstrated ability to lead and coach peers and direct reportsExcellent coordination, problem solving, conflict resolution and consensus building skillsWilling to work outside normal business hours as job dictatesAbility to make independent decisions regarding matters of significanceGoal oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organizationExcellent verbal & written communication skillsKeenly attentive to detailHigh level of proficiency with PC based software programsAbility to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levelsPhysical Requirements:
