Job Summary As Senior R&D Engineer, you contribute to our new organization by adding subject knowledge and experience, leveraging interaction with other areas of the organization and being active in operational development. You lead and manage various AM customer projects; participating in the development of new AM installations and setups, and taking part in both lab testing and customers visits to conduct field testing of our offerings. Leading the research, development and roll-out of production technology is an important part of this role and, in close collaboration with the rest of your team, you review existing and generate new production processes and testing methods. You continually develop your own knowledge within your area of expertise, as you capture and develop new ideas and apply them in a way that adds value to the business, and in collaboration with the world of academia and universities globally, you participate in various forums to promote innovative knowledge transfer. Keys in your contribution to AM’s success • Keeping track of the development within the AM industry and on emerging technologies • Sharing skills and best practice in our function and internal networks • Supporting colleagues in professional growth; increasing their ability to deliver • Make decisions within a defined time frame • Acting key person regarding development work performed in the powder bed fusion machines • Closely collaborating with the in-house design team for Design for Additive Your profile We are looking for someone with at least five years’ hands-on experience from additive manufacturing processes, such as powder bed fusion (laser and ebeam), powder metallurgy, material characterization or 3D design for AM or machining. You have a degree in Material Science or similar - e.g., metallurgy, physics or mechanical engineering - and documented experience from managing projects. As we act in an international setting, you have exceptional skills in English, both written and verbal, while skills in Swedish are advantageous.
