About this role
We believe you are a curious Data Scientist, passionate about the possibilities of data and its value for business. As a person you feel energized by working independently and in a team with the architectural network and cross functions. Your experience as a Data Analyst or Scientist have given you a deep understanding of data set processes for modelling, mining and production. You have knowledge of at least one building block of artificial intelligence, large datasets and distributed computing architectures. You have at least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Scientist and most likely a background in engineering, computer science, mathematics or equivalent. You will implement the information and data strategy roadmap, enabling our co-workers in the strategic use of IKEA’s information and data assets to serve the many in a fast developing digital world. You will: • be exploring and examining data, for use in predictive and prescriptive modelling to deliver insights to the business stakeholders and support them to make better decisions • influence product and strategy decisions by visualisation of data and enable change through deep understanding of the business drivers that make the product successful • manage modelling projects, identify requirements and build tools that are statistically grounded, explainable and able to adapt to changing attributes • develop and deploy different analytical building blocks that support the requirements of the capability area and customer needs • use root cause research to identify process breakdowns and provide data through the use of various skill sets to find solutions to the breakdown • work closely together with other data scientists and cross functions to produce all required design specifications and ensure that data solutions work together and fulfill business needs In the Digital Unit as a Data Scientist you will contribute to setting the digital agenda, pursuing and responding to new digital concepts to keep IKEA leading in an uncertain and fast moving environment.
