Learn more by watching our video: https://youtu.be/5pa29nsf7C0 We are now looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Sandviken, Sweden - someone with a passion and great interest in working with CAD, and a wish to challenge and develop your skills while learning more about the world of additive manufacturing and its’ processes. Your mission – Creating new and improved designs to increase customer leverage In this position, you are responsible for modelling and optimizing new designs suitable for 3D printing. You participate in various customer projects; reviewing product development requirements and material capabilities to meet specifications. This includes adapting design to customer needs, optimizing the design functionality to fully utilize the potential of the AM technology, and adapting the design for efficient 3D printing. This means that in this role you work both with design, calculations and simulations; mainly focusing on design. You are involved from the initiation phase of each project through to final design, and through-out the value chain, you evaluate the overall effectiveness of the design such as printability, cost, optimal support structure and functionality. To be successful in this position, you collaborate effortlessly with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers and other designers. Your character – A skilled and self-motivated designer with an innovative mind We are looking for someone with a Masters’ in a relevant field of studies, or the equivalent knowledge gained from working with CAD or component design. You have solid knowledge of design processes for manufacturing, and handle systems for calculation and construction - such as Ansys and Siemens NX - with ease. Since we act on a global stage and are developing key working relationships with design partners globally, you have excellent skills in both written and verbal English. Your character fascinates us. You are self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a genuine passion for industrial design. Taking responsibility for your work through the whole process, you show a genuine interest and curiosity for keeping good relations with both customers and production staff; committing to our customers’ needs in different projects, always trying to find new and improved techniques and designs. You work effortlessly together with co-workers and customers and you thrive on gaining knowledge to bring your designs to the next level by finding new, creative solutions.
