Company Description Genovis AB is a developer and manufacturer of unique enzymes for rapid characterization and conjugation of biopharmaceuticals; i.e., monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), Fc-fusion proteins, and biosimilars. New additions to our portfolio targets O-glycosylation and are used within biopharma industry as well as academia for protein characterization. The SmartEnzymes™ portfolio are the enzymes of choice by all biopharmaceutical manufacturers and developers and are in use worldwide. Genovis is based at Medicon Village in Lund. The Role The Research Scientist / Production and QC Engineer will partake in both R&D activities as well as production and quality control of the SmartEnzymes portfolio. The tasks involve planning experiments, conducting independent research projects, continue to increase the SmartEnzymes portfolio, summarizing and presenting results, producing and purifying proteins, QC, and similar tasks. The candidate will be reporting to VP of R&D and VP of Production. This is an ideal position for a person who would like to use their scientific experience and partake in both identification, characterization, and production of novel biotechnological products. • Participate in R&D research projects • Conduct independent research on given objectives • Assist with production and quality control of the SmartEnzymes • Summarize and report progress to VP of R&D and VP of Production • Participate at scientific conferences and meeting with customers The candidate We are looking for a candidate with a background in biomedicine, molecular microbiology or biotechnology eager to contribute to a fast-growing biotech company in Lund. The successful candidate has experience with bacteria, enzymes, and protein purification and is organized, motivated, well-planned, a quick learner and works well with others. Genovis is a flat and dynamic organization that encourage individuals to work independently.
