The Research and Product Development department within Division Rock Tools is responsible for the overall product development of Rock Tools and Tooling systems. Our operations support the business with product development, research and technical services and we collaborate closely with all necessary parts of the organization to achieve high quality results. We´re now looking for a manager to lead our DTH (Down the Hole) development team, in this position you get to manage a team of competent technicians and engineers and actively take part in our continuous development journey. The location for this position is Sandviken and travel is a natural part of your job. Your mission – acting as the link between R&D functions, product line and production to enable prosperous synergies As R&D Manager for DTH, you balance a coaching and motivating leadership with active participation in ongoing product development and projects. Working with both details and the bigger picture, you ensure effective daily operations within your team while collaborating with the organization to share knowledge and best practices. You develop and maintain technology roadmaps, act on business priorities and manage the R&D project portfolio execution to ensure quality, lead times and delivery. This includes monitoring trends, following up on suitable KPIs and taking lead in actions to achieve our objectives and priorities. In this position, you´re a member of the R&D Management Team. Your character – a natural leader with a proactive mindset and great stakeholder management skills We´re looking for someone with a Master of Science in Materials, Engineering or another relevant field, combined with several years’ experience from the mining or construction industry. Your track record includes at least three years’ in a leading position, with knowledge from managing people, projects and change. Since we act both locally and on a global stage, experience from working in an international environment is beneficial and you have excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish, verbally and in writing. We´re sincerely interested in your personality! With a clear, confident and present leadership style you listen, coach and engage your team. You follow up on performance to enable delivery of high quality results. Taking responsibility for your own actions comes naturally to you and you plan and prioritize to always be one step ahead. An outgoing personality, great communication and networking skills are other necessities for success in this position.
