To support that creation, we are now looking for a creative Patent Attorney to join the SMS Patent Team, which is part of SMS Legal, and to partner up with the Center of Digital Excellence (CODE) within our division Sandvik Applied Manufacturing Technology (AMT). Key responsibilities CODE is a digital growth venture of independent professionals with a genuine passion to impact the life of people, and a drive to overcome challenges at massive scale. As in our core business, we want to work actively to protect our intellectual property, and AMT further comprises more mature business units facing challenges of such. This is where we need your competence and advice – to support CODE in building and maintaining a strong patent portfolio, and to help the business handle their intellectual property matters. The location for this position is at CODE’s office in central Stockholm, and you report directly to the Head of Patents. Your character – creative doer with a genuine interest in digital business development We are looking for someone with a university degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science or Engineering, and you’re a Patent Attorney registered to practice for a patent office, preferably a qualified European Patent Attorney. You have at least five years’ experience from preparing and prosecuting patent applications in relevant technical fields, such as software, computer-implemented methods, user interfaces and information processing. As we operate on the global stage, we require that you have advanced skills in English, both verbally and in writing, and knowledge of Swedish is a plus. Your personality makes us better!
