At the Supply Chain function, we are accountable for all services connected to the supply chain and logistics processes within Division Rock Tools – and global freight is a central part of the function. Balancing between costs on the one hand and service levels on the other, is a daily challenge for us, and our aim is to provide every single customer with the right product at the right time, without holding excess stock. We are now looking for a Logistics Development Lead to a position where your knowledge is of great value in bringing us one step closer to a successful future within supply chain and logistics. The location for this position is Sandviken and travel is a natural part of your job. Your mission – actively promote improvements in logistics aligned with stakeholders across functions In this position, you’re part of a team working globally with supply chain management and logistics. Your responsibilities include identifying ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency, including global freight and warehouse operation, as well as managing projects to achieve performance improvements. You also work on developing a common performance management system – to measure quality, on-time delivery, service levels and costs – and you’re defining and implementing analytical tools and technologies to support day-to-day operations. In addition, you create a system to track savings and your initial focus is to implement new ideas in our logistics plan, partly based on monitoring previous methods but also by suggesting new ideas. Your character – a devoted networker with an eye for the big picture and small details We are looking for someone with a university degree in logistics. You have a background in logistics within a global organization, and it´s highly advantageous if you also have experience from developing and driving projects, as well as an interest in global freight. In addition, you have solid IT knowledge, especially in Excel, and experience from analyzing data to improve logistics processes. As we act on the global stage, we like to see that you have the ability to express yourself in a clear manner in English, both verbally and in writing, and skills in Swedish is a plus. Your personality fascinates us! You are driven by your passion for development – and have the ability to see where it’s needed – and you’re always striving towards improvement. With your excellent communication skills, you easily build and maintain good relationships with stakeholders, and by utilizing your analytical and strategic mindset, you quickly adjust to new situations and understand subject matters.
