The Application Services department within Sandvik IT has a crucial role in ensuring operational stability and development for many of Sandvik's most prioritized applications and platforms. We’re now looking for a Senior System Engineer to support services and our customers in the Windows Application area. Your mission In this position, you support services such as certificate and Application Operation, where implementing customers’ application into SITS Application Operation Service is the focus area. An important part of this – to ensure successfully managed applications now and in the future – is analyzing and monitoring the performance of the applications, as well as suggesting and implementing improvements to ensure a continuous high quality on our services. You also set up support and operate systems and Windows applications on various infrastructure platforms and in clustered environments for different stakeholders. The location for this position is Sandviken, and you’re required to work flexible hours, including occasional night shifts and weekends when necessary. Your character We’re looking for someone with a background of at least three years’ from working with Windows applications and infrastructure platforms, as well as experience from virtualization and Cloud. Your Windows knowledge should correspond with Microsoft training, and you have knowledge in administrating the Web server (IIS). A basic network understanding, familiarity with Sandvik and experience from technical support are all good to have. Along with this, you need solid knowledge of the Microsoft training and ITIL, and you’re familiar with PowerShell, Citrix, Apache, Tomcat, JBOS and Java. As we’re located in Sweden but operate on the global stage, you need to be fluent in Swedish and English, verbally and in writing. Your personality makes us better!
