About this role

Job scope outline Front-line sales activities such as respond to customer requests about PhyNexus technology, lead generation, prospecting, performing equipment demonstrations and giving presentations, negotiating and closing deals, as well as attending scientific conferences and exhibitions presenting posters, giving oral presentations, will form a major part of the role. Support the customer with application of PhyNexus technology at Customer site to secure successful implementation and performance of the PhyNexus technology in close contact with PhyNexus Product Management and R&D. This includes: • Assist customers in method development and method transfer to HTP robot while coordinating with engineers and applications scientists from the robotic companies • Trouble shoot at customer site • Train customer groups on set up, maintenance and programming of PhyNexus instruments. • Plan, design and carry out experiments for beta tests and new applications at the customer site. Maintain a high level of sample High Throughput screening and drug development knowledge, maintain awareness of competitor products, and provide feedback to the applications team by interacting with customers, attending conferences, and other scientific venues. Full support will be provided through product and sales training, backed up by an active in-house marketing department. Biotage also has its own R&D department, ensuring we have new and innovative products to bring to market on a regular basis. Excellent territory planning and a willingness to travel frequently (3-4 days per week, 1-2 day in home office) and conduct face-to-face customer visits will contribute to a prosperous assignment, as will accurate forecasting and a keenness to learn about market trends and the activities of competitors. Customer interactions drive our business and we use Salesforce.com as our CRM to log customers, accounts, opportunities, service calls and marketing activities. Education and Experience:  A good scientific background; minimum BSc or equivalent in Protein and Genomics Sciences  Sales experience within Big Pharma, Biotech, Academia and CROs  Understanding of the Drug discovery and Development processes  Hands on experience in High Throughput Screening techniques. Required skills:  Experience working in a Protein and Genomic lab would be an advantage  Strong desire to succeed  Flexible attitude to work and professional outlook  Good spoken/written English  A team player  Customer orientated  Good internal and external communication skills  Experience of working on a CRM system ( SalesForce.com preferred)  Market knowledge  Well organised Place of work: Lund, Sweden
