About this role
As NPM Purchasing EMEA Category Buyer – Infrastructure (m/f/diverse), you take ownership of global purchasing activities across your category, with a strong focus on intralogistics as well as plant-related equipment and services, while driving sustainable value creation through best practices and close collaboration with internal stakeholders and key business partners.
Your Responsibilities:
End-to-end responsibility for global category purchasing, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contractingPreparation, execution, and finalization of international negotiations with a strong focus on value creation (e.g. TCO)Drive cost optimization, bundling effects, make-or-buy decisions, and value engineering initiativesManage supplier performance, claims, and escalations with strategic relevanceOwn the contract lifecycle and ensure compliance with internal policies and guidelinesTranslate category strategies into clear actions, KPIs, and measurable resultsAdvise and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and satisfactionUse data analytics and digital procurement tools to improve efficiency and decision-makingLead or contribute to cross-functional and global purchasing projects University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) or comparable qualificationSeveral years of relevant professional experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a similar functionStrong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsExperience with SAP (R/3 or S/4) and MS Office preferredStructured, independent, and results-oriented working styleExcellent English and German skills (written and verbal); additional language skills are an advantageApplications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
