About this role

We’re looking for an early-career Building Surveyor to join our Colliers Project Leaders team in our Auckland CBD office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or junior professional to build a strong foundation in building surveying while gaining hands-on experience across a range of projects and clients.

Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll support the delivery of building inspections, technical reports, and project activities, while developing your skills across both building consultancy and project management.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive team environment where learning, growth, and career progression are prioritised.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with building surveys including condition surveys, measured surveys, and access auditsSupport the preparation of building surveying reports and technical adviceContribute to defect analysis, investigations, and maintenance planning activitiesAssist with insurance assessments and claims-related workSupport project management activities including contract administration and project coordinationAttend meetings, take notes, and maintain accurate project documentationMonitor site works and report on progress under guidanceLiaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teamsContribute to a high-performing team culture focused on delivering great client outcomes The value you’ll add

A degree in Building Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or a related fieldIdeally some exposure to the construction or property industryBasic understanding of building construction methods and materialsStrong attention to detail and analytical thinking skillsClear communication skills, with the ability to learn and grow in a professional environmentA proactive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learnConfidence using Microsoft Office toolsFull driver’s licenseWhat we offer
