Oracle Fusion Financial Specialist / Project ManagerAbout the Project: Our client is replacing JD Edwards with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP across multiple business units. The program rebuilds the enterprise structure, standardizes finance and procurement processes, and moves project and fixed asset accounting onto Fusion. We need an Oracle functional lead or project manager with an accounting background who has taken Fusion (or Oracle EBS) from design through go-live. You will work with finance leaders, procurement, the system integrator and IT.Scope:

• General Ledger and SLA: Ledgers, chart of accounts, value sets, journals, allocations, revaluation, subledger accounting rules, period close
• Intercompany: Intercompany transactions, balancing, eliminations
• Payables and Expenses: Supplier invoices, approvals, holds and tolerances, payments, expense reports
• Receivables and Collections: Billing, cash application, adjustments, advanced collections
• Fixed Assets and Leases: Asset books, mass additions, depreciation, retirements, lease accounting
• Cash Management and Tax: Bank statements, automatic reconciliation, cash positioning; Canadian GST/HST, PST and QST
• Procurement: Self-service procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supplier portal, contracts
• Project Portfolio Management: Project costing, billing, contracts, project control, capital projects
• Reporting: OTBI, BI Publisher, Financial Reporting Center, Smart View
• Integration and Data: FBDI, Oracle Integration Cloud, REST/SOAP services, role-based security
• Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM (where in scope): Planning, Financial Consolidation and Close, Account Reconciliation

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements and design workshops with Finance, Procurement, Operations and IT; configure in Functional Setup Manager
• Document as-is and to-be processes, functional designs and acceptance criteria
• Design the enterprise structure: ledgers, legal entities, business units, chart of accounts, value sets, SLA rules
• Configure, or oversee configuration of, GL, SLA, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash, Tax, Procurement and PPM
• Own data migration from JD Edwards using FBDI: mapping, cleansing, validation and balance reconciliation
• Design reports, approvals, security roles and segregation-of-duties controls
• Lead SIT, UAT and mock cutovers; triage defects to closure
• Plan and run cutover, go-live and first period close; lead hypercare and quarterly update testing
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks and change control; coordinate the system integrator and Oracle
• Create SOPs and training materials; report to the steering committee

Qualifications

• CPA (or CA, CMA, CGA), or a degree in Accounting or Finance with hands-on accounting experience, with working knowledge of IFRS or ASPE
• 5+ years on Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (or Oracle EBS) implementations, upgrades or migrations
• At least one full-lifecycle Fusion implementation, from requirements through go-live
• Functional depth in GL, SLA, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Procurement
• Enterprise structure and chart of accounts design for a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
• Data migration using FBDI or similar tools, including opening balance reconciliation
• SIT and UAT planning, cutover and post-go-live support

• Migration from JD Edwards (or Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft) to Oracle Fusion
• Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials or Project Management Implementation Professional certification; PMP, CBAP or Prosci
• Fusion PPM: costing, billing, project control
• Revenue Management (IFRS 15 / ASC 606) or Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM
• SQL, BI Publisher, OTBI, Oracle Integration Cloud
• Energy, utilities, construction or manufacturing
• Experience alongside a system integrator or Big 4 firm

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90.00 - $150.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
