Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Specialist / Project ManagerProject Overview: Our client is replacing legacy ERP systems with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management across multiple business units. The program standardizes the chart of accounts, financial dimensions and intercompany structure, and puts procurement, inventory and order processes on one platform. We need a D365 functional lead or project manager with an accounting background who has taken D365 (or Dynamics AX) from design through go-live. You will work with finance leaders, procurement and operations teams, the system integrator and IT.Scope:
- General Ledger and Consolidation: chart of accounts, financial dimensions, ledger calendars, multi-currency revaluation, intercompany, eliminations, period close
- Cash and Bank, Tax: bank reconciliation, payment formats, Canadian GST/HST, PST and QST
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: invoice approval workflows, three-way matching, payment proposals, settlements, credit and collections
- Fixed Assets: asset books, depreciation profiles, acquisitions, disposals, asset leasing
- Procurement and Sourcing: requisitions, purchase orders, approval workflows, vendor catalogs
- Inventory and Cost Accounting: inventory valuation, costing, warehouse management
- Sales and Order Management: sales orders, pricing, invoicing
- Project Management and Accounting: budgets, billing rules, WIP, revenue recognition (Project Operations where in scope)
- Data and Integration: Data management framework, Dataverse and dual-write, Electronic Reporting, Power BI
What You'll Do
- Run fit-gap and design workshops with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and IT, following Microsoft's Success by Design approach
- Document as-is and to-be processes, functional designs and acceptance criteria
- Design the financial structure: legal entities, chart of accounts, financial dimensions, posting profiles
- Configure, or oversee configuration of, the modules above
- Own data migration: mapping, cleansing, validation and opening balance reconciliation using the Data management framework
- Design security roles, workflow approvals and segregation-of-duties controls with Internal Audit
- Lead SIT, UAT and mock cutovers using Azure DevOps and RSAT; triage defects to closure
- Plan and run cutover, go-live and first period close; lead hypercare
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks and change control; coordinate the system integrator, Microsoft and ISVs
- Create SOPs and training materials; report to the steering committee
Qualifications
- CPA (or CA, CMA, CGA), or a degree in Accounting or Finance with hands-on accounting experience, with working knowledge of IFRS or ASPE
- 5+ years on Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management (or AX 2012) implementations, upgrades or migrations
- At least one full-lifecycle D365 implementation, from requirements through go-live
- Functional depth in GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank, Tax and Procurement
- Chart of accounts and financial dimension design for a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
- Data migration using the Data management framework, including opening balance reconciliation
- SIT and UAT planning, cutover and post-go-live support

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant (MB-310), PMP, CBAP or Prosci
- Migration from Dynamics AX 2012, GP, NAV, SAP or Oracle EBS to D365
- Project Management and Accounting or Project Operations
- Power BI, Power Automate, Dataverse and dual-write
- Energy, utilities, manufacturing, construction or distribution
- Experience alongside a Microsoft partner, system integrator or Big 4 firm

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90.00 - $150.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
