MATERIAL HANDLER-$25/hr.

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in a 2nd shift position, working from 1:30pm to 9:30pm, Monday through Friday. Initial training will be on 1st shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm for 2-3 weeks, followed by training from 10:00am to 6:30pm for an additional two weeks. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in supporting factory and engineering teams by ensuring the timely delivery of materials and efficient distribution of finished goods to the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to factory and engineering teams with timely delivery of materials.
• Ensure material cycle times are met and systematic jobs are completed in accordance with Materials Requirement Planning.
• Work in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments.
• Receive and audit incoming materials.
• Conduct daily cycle counts of inventory.
• Process jobs via computer systems.
• Process materials to return to warehouse, supplier/vendor, etc.
• Package, wrap, and crate materials approved for shipping.
• Expedite and communicate line down parts to appropriate work centers.
• File documentation in accordance with department procedures.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a warehouse or factory setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Experience with Oracle or other inventory management software applications preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret data, information, and documents in English.
• Ability to communicate in English (written and oral).
• Experience operating Powered Industrial Equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, preferred.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
