Construction Laborer @ Aerotek

Immediate Needs for Construction Laborers for Commercial Construction and Renovation Projects - Direct Hire Position, Offering Competitive Weekly Pay and Benefits! Approximately 85% of projects involve travel, including overnight stays, with additional pay provided for travel assignments and extended travel rotations of approximately two to three weeks on and then off. Local projects are compensated for onsite work only. Nationwide travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople with commercial construction and renovation projects.
• Perform demolition, site preparation, digging, trenching, concrete work, and material handling.
• Assist with installation of piping, drains, pumps, filters, tile, coping, waterproofing, and other components.
• Safely operate hand and power tools including drills, grinders, saws, and jackhammers.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and remove construction debris.
• Follow supervisor instructions, project requirements, and all OSHA/jobsite safety procedures.
• Travel to commercial project sites, including overnight or extended travel when required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Construction or general labor experience preferred; concrete, plumbing, masonry, excavation, demolition, or pool experience is a plus.
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand/power tools and a tape measure.
• Able to follow instructions, work effectively with a crew, and learn a specialized construction trade.
• Able to work outdoors and perform physically demanding work, including lifting 50+ lbs. regularly.
• Dependable with reliable transportation; valid drivers license preferred.
• Willing and able to travel for projects.

Work Environment: The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with a minimum of 40 hours per week, with additional work available based on project needs. Work is performed primarily on commercial job sites, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions. The work is physically demanding and involves frequent lifting of 50+ pounds, occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds, repetitive bending, turning, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and overhead lifting. Team members stand, kneel, and bend for long periods and remain physically active throughout the day.

The role requires regular use of hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, saws, jackhammers, shovels, and demolition tools, as well as the use of tape measures and other measuring devices. Employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow OSHA and company safety standards in an active construction environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $63000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
