Als Senior Projectcontroller bij de gemeente Utrecht bewaak je de beheersing van grote projecten in openbare ruimte of vastgoed, toets je onafhankelijk of ze in control zijn, signaleer je risico's en kansen en adviseer je management en opdrachtgevers. - Lead project financial planning, budgeting, and rolling forecasts across the project lifecycle.
- Monitor costs, revenues, margins, and cash flow; identify variances and drive corrective actions.
- Prepare and present monthly project performance reports, KPIs, and management dashboards.
- Support project managers with financial insights, scenario analysis, and decision support.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and contract requirements.
- Manage change control financial impacts, including claims, contingencies, and risk provisions.
- Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, and Operations on accruals, invoicing, and close activities.
- Improve controlling processes, tools, and data quality for scalable project reporting.
Required skills and qualifications
- Project controlling expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost management.
- Financial reporting skills, including month-end close support and KPI development.
- Stakeholder management with the ability to challenge assumptions and influence outcomes.
- Analytical capability for risk/opportunity assessment and scenario modeling.
- Systems proficiency with ERP and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Excel).
- Communication skills to translate financial data into clear actions for non-finance teams.
