The Role
We are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team from June. Working 37 hours per week during term time, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing, working closely with teachers and support staff to help every child thrive.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport pupils individually and in small groups to access learning and make progressAssist the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessonsPromote positive behaviour and support pupils’ emotional and social developmentProvide targeted support for pupils with additional or SEND needsHelp prepare learning resources and maintain a safe, stimulating classroom environmentSupervise pupils during lessons, activities, transitions and, where required, at breaktimesUphold the school’s values, safeguarding procedures and inclusive ethos at all timesWhat We Are Looking ForA patient, positive and caring individual with a genuine commitment to supporting childrenExperience of working with primary-aged pupils, or a strong desire to develop in this roleGood communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and adultsA flexible, proactive team player who can also use their own initiativeA strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and pupil wellbeingAlignment with Hatfield Primary Academy’s values and high expectations for all learnersInterested in Applying?
