The successful candidate will work as part of a team alongside the SENCo within our school. initially within our resource provision which has 12 commissioned places across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
The role will be based within the provision, supporting individuals and small groups of pupils. The candidate will play a key role in supporting behaviour and emotional wellbeing, helping pupils to regulate and engage positively with their learning.
Responsibilities will include attending meetings, completing paperwork for external agencies, and monitoring progress. The successful candidate will also liaise closely with families to support transitions and meet care needs in line with each pupil’s EHCP.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with pupils with SEND. and will take on the shared role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant and Engagement and Welfare Officer . and as such will be a qualified HLTA or equivalent. They will be an experienced practitioner with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
