As an ICT Systems Technician, you'll be responsible for the communication systems that keep one of Australia's premier underground mining operations connected and operating safely. From underground leaky feeder networks and radio communications through to CCTV, telephony and audiovisual systems, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and improving the technology that supports our people and operations every day. Working across both surface and underground environments, you'll combine hands-on technical work, fault finding, system upgrades and project delivery to ensure reliable communications across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the field, solving problems and working with a diverse range of technologies. In this role, you'll: Maintain and optimise underground and surface communication systems, including radio, leaky feeder, CCTV and telephony infrastructure. Diagnose and resolve faults across safety-critical communication systems with minimal impact to operations. Install, commission and support new communication infrastructure and site expansion projects. Manage radio systems, frequency planning and compliance requirements. Support CCTV systems, surveillance infrastructure and associated technologies. Deliver telephony, audiovisual and communication technology solutions across site. Work closely with IT, OT and operational teams to ensure reliable and integrated site technology. Support vendors, contractors and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical outcomes. Does this sound like you? You're a hands-on communications or ICT professional who enjoys working in the field, solving technical challenges and supporting critical operational technology. You'll also bring: A qualification in Telecommunications, Communications Technology or a related discipline. Experience maintaining and supporting communications infrastructure in industrial, mining, telecommunications or operational environments. Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability across radio, telecommunications or communications systems. Experience with technologies such as radio systems, CCTV, telephony, fibre optics, structured cabling or communications networks. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader technical team. A strong commitment to safety, reliability and delivering quality outcomes.
