About this role
The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:
An understanding of, and commitment to, Catholic education.
Experience in working with children across a range of ages including the knowledge of phonics and teaching of reading
Flexibility and adaptability
Knowledge, skills and understanding of a range of strategies that will ensure the progress of children with additional needs
The ability to liaise effectively with staff and parents
Relevant qualifications/experience or training (GCSE Maths and English) Working towards or achieved Level 3 NVQ)
The ability to
Support the teacher in the planning and delivery of learning activities.
To help pupils to develop literacy and numeracy skills.
To help with the maintenance of classroom records.
To support the teacher in the evaluation of the learning activities.
To support the maintenance of positive links between home and school by making parents feel welcome and develop links with other agencies.
To help with the care and support of pupils individually and in groups.
