Coolskeagh Development Limited trading as Castle Steel, based in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, A75XR57, Ireland is seeking experienced Welder-Fabricators for immediate start at its facility in Castleblayney. Working hours: 39 hours per weekSalary advertised: €36,605 per annum Main duties and responsibilities•
- Operate welding equipment to join metalwork pieces together.•
- Use fusion welding processes involving different techniques and materials.•
- Carry out simple visual inspections of welds.•
- Perform TIG welding and fillet welds.•
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.•
- Wear appropriate protective equipment and follow health and safety standards.•
- Smooth burred surfaces and identify metal imperfections.•
- Use sheet metal to construct roofs, heating ducts, ventilation ducts, gutters and other metal structures.•
- Read plans and determine the type and quantity of materials required.•
- Measure, bend, cut, shape and attach metal components to create the required structures.•
- Understand welding techniques, torch temperatures, metal thermal conductivity and fuel gas.Essential experience•
- Minimum three years of relevant experience as a Welder-Fabricator.•
- Experience in TIG welding.•
- Ability to read engineering drawings.•
- Experience in metal fabrication and joining.•
- Ability to work safely with welding equipment and metalworking tools.•
- Knowledge of welding processes and different metal materials.
