About this role

Are you passionate about Mathematics and motivated to make a real difference for our students? We are seeking a dedicated Maths Education Support Assistant to provide personalised support to students and enhance their learning within the maths curriculum. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students, helping them build confidence, develop independence and achieve their full potential academically and personally.

What you will do:

Support students’ learning in maths lessons and through targeted interventions, in line with teacher planningPrepare and adapt resources to meet individual learning needs and stylesPromote independence and confidence through structured support and guided practiceMonitor and record student progress, maintaining accurate and organised documentationSupport students’ wider development, including social, emotional and communication skillsAssist with whole-school maths activities and initiativesProvide personal care and physical support where requiredCommunicate effectively with staff and students to maintain high standards of learning and careFollow safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection procedures at all What we’re looking for:

A genuine passion for Mathematics and supporting young peopleGCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 5/C or abovePatient, resilient, flexible and positive approachStrong communication and teamwork skills, with excellent organisational abilityAbility to work independently and use initiative while following direction from teaching staffConfident IT skills and ability to maintain accurate recordsCommitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students Desirable: Experience in an education setting, delivering maths interventions, or supporting students with SEND; knowledge of maths learning platforms and tools.
