About this role
The Brunswick School Department seeks an experienced and enthusiastic middle-level teacher to serve as a long-term substitute for sixth-grade social studies. The position will run from November 23 to Early/Mid January. The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Experience as a 6-8 social studies teacher preferred
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share best practices
- Experience working on grade-level and interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and assessment
- Interested in innovative approaches
- Skilled at working with all students
- Capacity to utilize technology to enhance practice
- Interest in participating in the school community outside of the classroom.
- State of Maine certification and CHRC approval are required.
