About this role
Olentangy Schools is seeking qualified candidates for a Certified Substitute Teacher - School Nurse at Liberty Middle School starting in January 2027 for approximately 11 weeks. This position provides the school with the best medical attention possible, from basic first-aid to serious injuries; create a climate of health and well being in the school; and maintains up-to-date and complete health records on students and staff. Qualified candidates must be a Registered Nurse licensed by the State of Ohio, hold or be eligible to hold valid and appropriate licensure (i.e., School Nurse) for each position with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, and CPR certification.
Qualified candidates will be employed through the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO) and must hold or be eligible for valid and appropriate licensure for each position with the Ohio Department of Education and be active on Frontline Absence Management as a certified substitute with ESCCO. Essential functions for the position include
- Registered nurse licensed by the State of Ohio
- Valid and appropriate Ohio school nurse license
- CPR Certification
- Alternative to the above qualifications as Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate
Certified substitutes are compensated at a rate of $155/day; $215/day for days 61+ in a consecutive work assignment (no benefits).

If so, the link will be titled “Do Not Reply” with the subject “Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application”. Keep in mind that the assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed.
