STRATEGIC PLAN WORKING GROUP
Leominster Public Schools is bringing together a representative group of Pre-K–12 educators and support staff to help strengthen our systems of student support and create safe, inclusive, supportive, and consistent school communities across the district.
This work will bring together two connected Strategic Initiatives:
2.1 - Strengthen Our System of Student Supports (MTSS)
We will develop a consistent Pre-K–12 framework for identifying student needs, providing timely Tier 2 and Tier 3 academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health supports, monitoring progress, and determining next steps.
3.1 - Strengthen Safe and Inclusive School Communities
We will review and map current district practices related to attendance, family communication, behavioral and academic supports, and student belonging. This work will help us better understand what is currently working, identify opportunities for greater consistency, and ensure that our systems support respectful, supportive, joyful, and inclusive school environments.
Because these areas are closely connected, we believe a combined working group will allow us to look at the whole student experience and better understand how our systems work together.
We are seeking staff from across schools, grade levels, and roles to bring a range of perspectives and experiences to this work. There are limited spots available to participate in this working group.
Participation will include several working sessions throughout the 2026–2027 school year. Some of the work will happen after school hours, in person and/or virtual, on Tuesdays or Thursdays. There will be a stipend connected to the work. The group will help us understand current practices, identify strengths and gaps, provide feedback on emerging ideas, and contribute to the development of practical districtwide systems and protocols.
Stipend based on bargaining unit.
