DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT
OF POSITION
- Position requires the following:
- Provide support and services to students with disabilities to meet educational goals and objectives, including ASD, emotional disabilities, intellectual impairments, and specific learning disabilities;
- Ability to work under the direction of special education and general education teachers and take feedback well;
- Ability to collaborate with staff in and out of the classroom;
- Work effectively with students to monitor behavior at lunch and recess times;
- Willingness to be trained in de-escalation strategies (Safety Care);
- Flexibility, kindness, and a positive attitude required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma. Experience working with special education students preferred. Ability to work with patience and understanding. Ability to work with staff and follow directions. Safety Care-trained or willingness to be trained.
- Citizen, residency or work Visa required.
SALARY
Per Paraeducator Contract
