Experience
Minimum of 2 consecutive years of classroom teaching experience in either mainstream or special schools. (E)
Experience of working with children with a range of Special Educational Needs. (E)
Experience working collaboratively with a multi professional team including SLT, OT, PT. (D)
Knowledge
Proven ability in teaching and adapting the curriculum effectively for pupils with a range of strengths and needs (E)
Knowledge & experience of devising/monitoring learning programmes, assessment, recording and reporting. (E)
Experience of teaching and assessing using the EYFS curriculum. (E)
Understanding of using a trauma informed approach. (D)
Specific Skills
The ability to teach, assess and advise. (E)
The ability to work within a multidisciplinary setting and establish trusting relationships within the team. (E)
The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form. (E)
Sound knowledge of ICT and how to use it to drive forward pupil progress. (E)
The ability to provide training and guidance in meeting the needs of SEND learners to school settings / teachers (D)
