About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other education professionals to support pupils' learning, development, and well-being. You will be integral in promoting independence, self-esteem, and inclusion within the classroom and school community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted support to pupils to help them access the curriculum and reach learning milestones.Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans.Foster positive relationships with children, promoting engagement and self-confidence.Collaborate with teachers to deliver enriching and inclusive learning experiences.Support behaviour management strategies and help maintain a safe, respectful environment.Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children’s progress.Embrace safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Good literacy and numeracy skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to children and adultsA positive approach to learning and development
Desirable:
GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ3, HND, degree)Experience in a school or education setting
Working knowledge of the national curriculum and supporting SEN
