At Agnew, we have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Emergency Services & Security Officer to join our site-based team.
Reporting to the Coordinator Emergency Services & Security, this role is critical in keeping our people safe through delivering emergency response, rescue and medical services, and supporting site security operations. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who loves working in a team, thrives under pressure and values collaboration, communication and having each other's backs. About the Role
Emergency Response: rapidly respond to surface and underground emergencies, rescue and medical incidents Medical & Clinical Care: provide pre-hospital emergency medical care and administering the on-site medical clinic Emergency Response Training: conduct targeted training and exercises to build site emergency preparedness and capability Safety & Compliance: conduct on-site drug and alcohol testing, develop and evaluate emergency procedures & plans, equipment maintenance & inspections, and promoting a positive site-safety culture Security Support: support site security, access monitoring & controls, and incident reporting, when required
Skills & Qualifications
Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue Certificate IV in Health Care BG4 Underground Search and Rescue competencies, including RIIERR303E Operate in Self-Contained Regenerative Oxygen Breathing Apparatus HLTPAT010 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing Valid manual C Class Driver’s Licence (MR or HR desirable) Demonstrated experience in emergency services/response, ideally in the mining industry (underground highly regarded) Importantly, you’re a genuine team player who communicates well, enjoys working alongside others and contributing to a shared goal. Proactive and adaptable, your positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile really shines through.
