MITIGATION TECHNICIAN
📍 Location: Idaho Falls, Idaho
💰 Pay: $18–$25/hour, depending on experience
🕐 Schedule: Full-time | Rotating on-call schedule required

What You'll Do
As a Mitigation Technician with Paul Davis Restoration, you'll help homeowners and businesses recover from unexpected property damage. You'll respond to properties affected by water, fire, smoke, mold, and other disasters, working hands-on to prevent further damage and get the restoration process underway.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Responding to emergency water, fire, smoke, and mold damage calls
- Performing water extraction and setting up structural drying equipment
- Completing demolition, debris removal, and cleanup as needed
- Taking moisture readings and documenting job progress
- Assisting with fire and smoke cleaning and odor removal
- Supporting mold remediation projects
- Performing basic carpet and upholstery cleaning
- Boarding up and securing damaged properties
- Communicating professionally with customers throughout the restoration process
- Maintaining company vehicles, equipment, and work areas
- Participating in a rotating on-call schedule
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, eager to learn, and ready to be part of a team. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who can adapt to changing situations, take initiative, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ideal Candidates Will Have
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous construction, restoration, or other hands-on experience (preferred)
- IICRC certifications (preferred, but willing to train the right person)
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in tight or confined spaces
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer, smartphone, and tablet skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented, can-do mindset
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
