We are looking for a Senior Software Developer in Test to take ownership of how we think about quality at Givecloud in the age of AI. You’ll lead our existing QA team in building and maintaining our automated test suite, and help foster a culture where engineers treat quality as a part of their everyday work. This is a high-ownership role with a clear runway into QA leadership as the team and company grow.
The Role
- Define and execute the overall QA strategy alongside engineering leadership
- Build and maintain a suite of automated tests
- Maintain test cases in our test case management system
- Audit and report on the performance and security of the application
- Excel at software development and testing on your own merits
- Utilize AI when the benefit is clear, and recognize when it isn’t
- Manually test the occasional feature that requires an extra set of eyes
- Join an experienced and motivated team that prioritizes collaboration over process
- Work with tools such as Claude, GitHub, Jira, Slack, Google Cloud, etc.

Your Skills & Experience
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong commercial experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java
- Strong commercial experience with Playwright, Cypress or similar
- Experience developing and maintaining continuous integration and test pipeline tools
- Experience testing with WCAG accessibility standards and tools
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Version control tools and branching workflows: Git, GitHub
- Bonus:
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of developers
- Experience with PHP or React
- Experience in the non-profit sector
