We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team in a hands-on role responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing heavy equipment, vehicles, and industrial components. This position requires expertise in surface preparation, paint application, and equipment maintenance to ensure high-quality finishes that meet demanding performance and appearance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting through cleaning, washing, sanding, masking, and surface conditioning.
• Remove rust, old paint, grease, and contaminants to ensure proper coating adhesion.
• Mix primers, paints, and specialty coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
• Apply coatings using spray equipment, including HVLP and industrial paint systems.
• Mask and protect components and critical areas from overspray during the painting process.
• Perform final cleaning and inspection before and after paint application.
• Paint equipment with complex shapes and multiple components while maintaining consistent coverage and finish quality.
• Inspect completed work for defects, including runs, sags, uneven coverage, and contamination, and perform touch-ups as necessary.
• Disassemble and reassemble components to support painting and finishing operations.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot paint equipment, spray guns, booths, ventilation systems, and related tools.
• Monitor and maintain spray booth conditions, including filter replacement and housekeeping activities.
• Follow all safety protocols regarding PPE, chemical handling, and hazardous waste disposal.
• Assist with inventory management of paints, coatings, and consumable supplies.

Required Qualifications

• Strong industrial painting experience in a manufacturing, production, heavy equipment, or industrial environment.
• Proficiency with spray guns, paint systems, and surface preparation techniques.
• Experience applying industrial coatings, primers, and protective finishes.
• Knowledge of paint mixing procedures and manufacturer application requirements.
• Ability to prepare and refinish surfaces to strict quality standards.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely disassemble and reassemble equipment components.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work safely in a paint booth and industrial shop environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an industrial paint shop or spray booth setting.
• Automotive, heavy equipment, military, or commercial vehicle painting experience.
• Familiarity with electrostatic painting systems and related equipment.
• Experience maintaining paint inventory and shop supplies.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.

Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $72800.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
